We are facing a pandemic. What can we do?
The situation we are experiencing in the world due to the infection caused by the virus called Covid-19 and the speed with which many have been infected, makes me think about the need to ACT. Faced with this reality, the question is: What actions can we take to counter the progress of this pandemic?
Personally, I tell you that the concern about this situation is big. I don't want to be infected; I don't want any of the people that I know and love to be infected; but the possibility is latent, and it's real. Fear, it is likely, has already taken hold of many of us. We are afraid because we don't want to be part of those statistics that talk about a large death rate, and also how painful it would be for us and our loved ones to live something like this.
We are facing a PANDEMIC, it is likely that most of us have never experienced anything like this, and that's why we don't know what to do. The expert recommendations are there, this is what we have. These are the actions that responsible Christians and citizens should take: 1. Wash our hands with soap and water, constantly. 2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. 3. Avoid close contact with people who are sick. 4. Keep a distance between you and others. 5. Stay home. 6. Cover your mouth when coughing and/or sneezing. 7.Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
Here's what we can do: Let's do it!
As believers we know that God is in control of the whole universe. Our part is to act, we have to do what is our responsibility as human beings... it's time to ACT!
