WHY DO WE OFTEN FEEL THAT GOD DOES NOT HEAR OUR PRAYER?

Lent makes us a strong call to conversion through prayer, fasting and almsgiving. The Church tells us what our prayer should be like and never to think that God does not listen to us... Above all, it must be humble and sincere, trusting and persevering. These four conditions are reflected in Queen Esther's attitude and in her words: She humbly prostrates herself before God, acknowledging Him as the Lord, the only King, ruler of all power, the only one who can defend her and save the people. You are just, Lord! His confidence makes him speak using the verbs in the affirmative imperative: "Remember us, Lord", "be present in our tribulation", "give me courage", "put opportune words in my mouth", "deliver me, Lord, with your power and help me because I am alone and have no one but you, Lord". In the face of such a prayer, our God acts without delay. (Esther 4)
Psalm 137 says, "I thank you, Lord, with all my heart, that when I called on you, you listened to me.
God is a good Father who gives good things to those who ask Him. He also knows what can harm us and avoids conceding what we do not need. It's not that he doesn't listen to us... is that we must be more sensitive to realize and know what their will is. Our example is Jesus: "Take this cup away from me, but not my will, but yours be done."
