Thanks to the confident prayer in the presence of Jesus in our midst, it has been possible to live the Anointing of the sick even at a distance. Those dramatic moments of the contagion of the virus have led us to entrust all the sick into the hands of God through remote prayer. We are comforted to feel the presence of God despite space limitations. The efficacy of prayer is made effective by faith and is capable of granting forgiveness of sins to believers affected by the pandemic who cannot receive the Anointing of the Sick and their caregivers included.
The health personnel, whom we also have in our prayers, have witnessed numerous miracles where patients have recovered their health despite the contagion. Every day we pray "Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.” This is an opportunity for all of us to analyze our lives and decide to believe more firmly in the presence of God through confident prayer. And, the souls of all the faithful departed during this pandemic, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen
