This phrase is the central statement of the Christian faith and represents the dogma of the Holy Trinity. It means that Christians believe in three distinct persons but united in one God.
I believe in the Father. It means that God is the creator and origin of everything that exists in the Universe or Universes. He is all-powerful and provident. Who loves us with tenderness and always seeks our greatest good.
I believe in the Son (Jesus Christ). It means that being God he wanted to become man in order to redeem us from sin and death. He offered his life for our salvation and rose again as a mediator between God and humanity.
I believe in the Holy Spirit. It means that the third person of the Holy Trinity is the active and invisible presence of God in the world and in the hearts of men. He guides, comforts, sanctifies and inspires people to do good, encourages and sanctifies the Church of Christ and its mission in the world.
The Oneness of the three divine persons does not mean that they are three different gods, but three distinct persons, but they share the same essence, power, and divinity.
