REFLECTION OF THE WORD OF GOD, Sunday August, 9th, 2026

Cheer up, it's Me, don't be afraid!

These words of Jesus constitute the heart of today's message. These are words spoken in the middle of the night, when the disciples are in the boat far from the shore, shaken by the contrary wind and overcome by fear... It is no coincidence that Jesus manifests himself precisely at this moment. When uncertainty disorients us and fear threatens to rob us of hope.

In the storms of life: A family worry, an illness, a loss, a failure, a difficult decision or the anguish we feel for a loved one... they are moments or situations that, like the disciples, we have the impression that our strength is not enough to reach the other shore... God tells us: I am with you!
