The liturgical year is the annual cycle of celebrations and seasons organized by the Catholic Church to relive and meditate on the mysteries of the life, passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is divided into seasons such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter, and Ordinary Time, each with specific readings, rituals, and liturgical colors that accompany us in every moment of our personal and community life.
Each civil or liturgical year is an opportunity to learn, to face challenges and problems with faith in God. Next Sunday, November 30th, is the first Sunday of Advent, we begin a new cycle and a new liturgical year. What will we have to experience in the coming months? We don’t know. We will surely receive many blessings from God, we Will achieve goals and dreams; but, above all, we will have one more opportunity to continue strengthening our faith, with prayer, with the sacraments, especially by participating in Holy Mass, but also with reading, listening and studying the Bible. May God take care of us and take us by his hand.
