Baptism as the beginning of the Christian Life.

The word Baptism comes from the Greek "baptizein" which means to immerse. Baptism is therefore the first of the sacraments, because we are immersed in the life of Christ, after accepting the faith, that is, believing that he is the Son of God, our Saviour.
Baptism also purifies us from our sins and leads us to be fully children of God.
Baptism is the door, the beginning of the Christian life. And it can be received at any age. But when a child is baptized, it is the parents and godparents who profess the faith on behalf of the child, and undertake to educate him in the faith as he grows in age. On the other hand, when a young person or an adult is baptized, it is the person himself who freely embraces the faith and is blessed in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
