Fall Festival 2026

Why do we celebrate the fall festival in our community of Saint Matthew? Some people believe that we should not celebrate a festival like this, since it is associated with a pagan celebration. However, this season of autumn is the time to reap what has been worked and sown during the year. It is time to thank God for the blessings He gives us.

During this Sunday’s Masses we make a special blessing for the children, who can come with their costumes, but we ask that they must be beautiful, joyful, fun costumes,... avoiding any reference to violence, fear or horror. Let us celebrate together all the good and the bad that we have had to live through during this year.

Let’s celebrate the beauty of fall together. We appreciate the participation of all the volunteers in this and the other events we celebrate throughout the year. We are grateful for the goodwill of our community. We ask God to continue to bless us to reach out to all who seek Him with a sincere heart.
