Music ministry in the Liturgical celebration

Fr. Tarcisio

The Music expresses joy, as well as ideas and feelings. It is a universal language with a power of expression that often expresses what cannot be said with just words. In the liturgy, singing serves to express our praise and petition towards our God, as well as joy, complementing our prayer and unity.

The community choir is an important element for liturgical celebration and for motivating the participation of the entire assembly. The choir does not replace the singing of the people, but it does encourage everyone's participation, helping with contemplation, praise and the request for forgiveness.

The psalmist is the person who is responsible for proclaiming the psalm from the Ambo, where the readings are done. To fulfill this office well, it is necessary for the psalmist to possess the art of psalmodying and to intone and pronounce clearly, motivating the response of the assembly.
