REFLECTION OF THE WORD OF GOD, Easter Sunday

EASTER SUNDAY

Today, Sunday, April 5, in each of the readings of the Mass, the Easter message is repeated: Christ is risen !!

With the resurrection what was foretold by the Lord was fulfilled. St. Peter affirms that he ate and drank with Jesus after the resurrection and can therefore safely affirm that God raised his Son. And Saint Paul speaks to us of the sacrificed paschal lamb that is Christ. And he invites us to celebrate Easter with unleavened bread, which is of sincerity and truth, characteristics of the new man regenerated by baptism who makes us be buried and regenerated in Christ. It is the work of God's mighty hand and of his infinite mercy, as we sing in Psalm 117.
