As a Catholic Church, every June 29, we celebrate the Solemnity of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, apostles. A good opportunity to remember these great witnesses of Jesus Christ and, at the same time, renew our confession of faith in the Church that is one, holy, catholic, and apostolic.

The Gospel tells us that Saint Peter was chosen by Christ to be "the rock" of the Church: "You are Peter, and, on this stone, I will build my Church" (Mt 16,16). With these words, Simon Peter became a pillar of the Church and undertook to feed the flock of God despite his human weaknesses.

Saint Paul, for his part, we know that he was first a persecutor of Christians and later became an Apostle of the Gentiles, he is a model of evangelizer for all Catholics because after meeting Jesus on his way, and converting, he gave himself without reservation to the cause of the Gospel.
