THE APOSTLES’ CREED

The Apostles' Creed is an ancient profession of faith and prayer fundamental to Christianity. It summarizes basic doctrinal beliefs about the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and the Church. Although it was not written by the apostles directly, it summarizes their teachings in a brief and narrative way.

The creed is divided into three main parts, known as the articles of faith:

God the Father: Creator of heaven and earth.

God the Son (Jesus Christ): His conception, birth of the Virgin Mary, passion and Death under Pontius Pilate, resurrection, ascension and the future judgment.

God the Holy Spirit: The Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection and eternal life.
