THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER IN OUR CHRISTIAN LIFE

Are you a Christian? Do you pray? How often do you talk to God? What are your prayers like? Praying is nothing more than talking to God. This dialogue is an act of faith, since we cannot see God with our eyes, but we are certain that He listens to us and answers us in many ways.
We can pray with words or with our thoughts; we can be guided by written prayers, which already exist, or those we already know by heart, such as the "Our Father", the "Hail Mary", the "Creed", the "I Confess..." Prayer can be personal or in community. We pray to ask in the midst of our needs and our fears... we pray to give thanks when things go well.
It is important that, as believers, as Christians, we pray, we talk to God. Prayer sustains us, helps us, gives us security, takes us out of those problems that afflict and worry us. "Watch and pray that you do not give in to temptation, for the spirit is willing, but the body is weak" is a famous exhortation that Jesus addressed to his disciples in Gethsemane (Matthew 26:41).
