Jesus calls his followers to make a difference, being "salt of the earth" and "light of the world" May our actions – works of justice, love and solidarity – illuminate daily life and give glory to God, without seeking prominence, serving the most disadvantaged.

Our faith should not be timid or hidden. Jesus calls the faithful to be a visible light that illuminates, guides and offers hope, especially in a world in need of meaning. Words are not enough... Being light translates into gestures of forgiveness, justice and compassion. The message emphasizes the coherence between professed faith and daily life, being "lamps" in a restless world.

Like salt, Christians must give flavor (joy, meaning, hope) to society, avoiding the insipidity of indifference. The celebration invites us to move from a nominal Christianity to an active one, where each member of the faithful becomes a witness to the light of Christ, giving himself generously.

Following the call of the Gospel, this day highlights the need to combat hunger and inequality, a commitment to human dignity, particularly through helping the most disadvantaged.
