What does God’s tell us this Sunday?July 5th, 2026

Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened...

There are things that can only be understood from humility and simplicity, not from pride or self-sufficiency. Such is the case with matters of faith, believing in God, doing good, practicing faith... That is why Jesus proclaims this beatitude with a loud voice to all the simple and humble of heart. And if anyone feels burdened, fatigued or desperate, he offers his warm embrace to rest, to put aside all worries.

When we feel worried and discouraged, how good it is to have a trusted friend to turn to and vent our fears and worries to! Well, that friend for us is Jesus. However, it is also often the case that, when things do not go well for us, we often blame God and attribute our failures to him; that is why we need time and humility to understand that it is not God, but ourselves who put ourselves in difficult situations. He is always there to help us carry the cross of our responsibilities. Let us trust that he will not leave us alone.
