PENTECOSTES
PENTECOSTES

Come Holy Spirit

On this feast of Pentecost, we celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles of Jesus. We remember what this divine presence meant in those first disciples, who were to continue Christ’s mission, proclaiming the Kingdom of God... But they were afraid, doubtful, and didn’t know where to start.

This feast reminds us that we are not alone in our Christian life, that like the first disciples of Jesus, the Holy Spirit acts in and with us to continue to bear witness to the Christian faith in the world, despite our fears and limitations.

His real presence in each one of us and in our communities continues to impel us along the paths of life and history, to lead us to him... to move forward in our struggles and challenges. Today is a day to invoke him and ask him with faith for his help, his inspiration to remain faithful to our Christian faith.
