God's wisdom is an indispensable gift to put our Christian life in order according to the divine will. We cannot achieve it with our human effort alone. It is a gift that we must ask of God. We must ask the Holy Spirit for this gift. Following Christ implies: knowing how to discern and visualize what it means to carry out a project of building a building or winning a battle; as well as renouncing what may hinder them. It is an interior struggle that leads us to grow in friendship with Christ and to seek the values of the Kingdom of God.

Being disciples also implies perseverance in the struggle and renunciation of our selfishness and comforts.

The glory and victory of the disciple is assured, even if this means losing some earthly goods or this worldly life. To participate in Christ's mission by accepting the moments of light and also the moments of the cross. The final victory and eternal life has been given to us in advance. Psalm 89 reminds us that, in the face of human frailty, God is an eternal refuge.
