For Infants and Children under 8 years of age:
The child's parents must make a formal request, one month in advance, at Church offices and present the child's original birth certificate or other identification document.
They must also attend preparation talks together with the godparents who, in turn, must be of legal age and be fully aware of the responsibility of helping in the education in the faith and the spiritual and moral growth of the godchildren, as indicated in the catechism of the Catholic Church.
For Adults:
Those of legal age must apply to the Church and show a genuine belief (Faith) in Jesus Christ and repentance of sins. As well as, take preparation classes to understand the truths of the faith and Christian obligations before receiving the sacrament.
To start the process, it is necessary to contact a member of the Church's Pastoral Team and register for the Catechism Course for adults.
