In the Gospels we find several texts that tell us how the encounter of the risen Jesus with his disciples was.

The places, people and times in which it appears to them are different. However, everyone says that the disciples did not recognize at first, they were not one hundred percent sure if it was the same Jesus they knew. In the same way, every Christian, when he begins his journey in faith, does not recognize that risen Jesus, but to the extent that he approaches and lives with him, he recognizes him alive and present in his life.

Today's Gospel presents us with a group of seven discouraged apostles, trying to regain the rhythm of life they had before following Jesus; perhaps thinking that everything had ended with the death of the Master. However, they receive a new calling, and their small efforts in the task of fishing will bear fruit, knowing that the Risen One is with them. It is a powerful message for everyone who has believed in Jesus, in moments of sadness and discouragement, when the results seem very poor, it is when that divine presence will help us to regain faith and trust in God.
