REFLECTION OF THE WORD, XXVII, Sunday in Ordinary Time

God invites us to his Feast
You may have wondered: What will heaven be like? Well, today’s readings present us with some examples. Isaiah describes it as” ... a feast with succulent dishes for all peoples; a banquet with exquisite wines and substantial delicacies ...” where there is no longer suffering, pain, or death...”
Jesus also uses the comparison of a wedding feast to describe eternal life, a feast to which many have been invited; but many have deliberately chosen not to attend. For this reason, the Lord will send for others to take part in the banquet.
The invitation is still open for those who want to enter, there is only one condition, that is, to be dressed according to the greatness and importance of the party. Wearing a garment of dignity and good works is necessary. Let’s heed this invitation and enter to celebrate with our God of Life.
