11TH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

Everything is a gift. In the book of Exodus, God delivers and chooses a people without merit. In the Letter to the Romans, that love goes to the extreme. In the Gospel, what is received becomes a mission and a task: to give without measure.

Faith is also a gift, not a conquest. Everything has been given to us freely: both life, grace and forgiveness. They are all gifts that should transform us and impel us to live differently.

Many times we are tempted to want to turn faith into calculation, merit or a commodity to be bought and sold or exchanged. But The Gospel breaks that logic: Only those who know they are loved unconditionally can love without demanding.

Go and proclaim on the road that the Kingdom of Heaven is approaching!

Let us ask ourselves : Do we live from gratuitousness or do we continue to put a price on love?
