What does God’s tell us this Sunday?The Ascension of the Lord

The Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord... It is not an abandonment, but the beginning of a new form of Presence. Jesus does not move away, but inaugurates a deeper and more universal form of closeness: I am with you always, until the end of the age... this is solemnly affirmed by the Evangelist St. Matthew. The real presence of Jesus in his Word, in the Sacraments and in daily life. It is the continuous work of Jesus doing the will of the Father that will culminate in Glory... acting concretely in the Church and in every human being. Y… He will return as you have seen him go away until a cloud hid him (with the power and glory of God the Father).

The continuous presence of Christ impels us disciples to continue their mission: Go therefore and make disciples of all peoples. Let's teach everyone what Jesus taught us.
