Bautismo de Jesus

On this day when we celebrate the Baptism of the Lord, the Gospel reminds us that Jesus, the beloved Son of God, comes to carry out the Father's will, that is: to make God's mercy and justice alive among us, that every human being may have life and have it in abundance, since the glory of God is that man should live.

The prophet Isaiah reminds us that all righteousness will be manifested with truth, and the light of God will illuminate all nations and open the eyes of the blind, the captives will be set free, and also those who dwell in darkness.

We must remember our own baptism to renew our Christian commitment as children of God as well, from authenticity. As well as, to ensure that our relationships with others are based on justice and mercy. May we renew our awareness and responsibility to care for creation and to be truly citizens of the Kingdom of God by living the fraternity that Christ asks of us.
