Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled; and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Humility is the virtue that helps us to keep our feet on the ground, to value who we are, respecting the dignity of others. Humble people have good self-awareness, listen carefully, acknowledge their accomplishments without blustering, and are open to constant learning and collaboration.

That is why Jesus invites us to live with humility from the values of our faith. We are all children of God, members of the same family, and that is why it is not right to put ourselves above others for whatever reason. It is not money, nor skin color, language, religion, nationality, studies, the authority we have.... What makes us bigger or more important.

Today’s message is clear: There is a good place in the Kingdom for everyone. The only preference God has is for the poor, the disabled, the humble, since God gives them first place, and they are Jesus’ favorites.
