Cuerpo y Sangre de Cristo

SOLEMMNITY OF THE BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST

Today we celebrate the Miracle of Love that we witness at every Mass. We celebrate the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus et Sanguis Christi).

On this feast we remember Jesus' gift for humanity, so that we may have life and life in abundance. We celebrate Christ's command to make his gift our own gift and his life our own life. If he loved us to the point of giving his life for us, in the same way, we too are called to give our lives for others in our own daily lives and wherever we find ourselves, in every circumstance of our existence.

We celebrate the Body and Blood of Christ, making his proposal of love a reality in the world of our twenty-first century that we have to live... being witnesses of his love, announcing his death and resurrection... living in communion and solidarity with our brothers and sisters... mainly with the most needy
